Mo Zi thought that the internal basis of life's value lies in the affirmation of human existence ,and its external basis is the experience and introspection of real life.The essence of life's value is “promoting utility” “encouraging justice”.The life which benefits people and the world is valuable.He held that motive and effect should be combined when the value of one's life was to be appraised.Mo Zi's ideas find great significance in practice and theory.From his works we know that the value of the human beings and their life is rooted in real life.Only when we are pased upon modern society and social practice can we truly interprete the essence of life's value and find the basic standard against which the value of human life can be appraised.
