Studies on the Pollen Viability of Cucumber

In this experiment,the optional concentration nutrient medium for cucumber pollen,the fittable culture time,pollen viability of different knot,length of life of pollen at different condition,the effection of high temperature and low temperature on the pollen viability were studied.The results showed that: 15% cane sugar and 100 mg·kg-1 boric acid was the best optional culture solution.The best time to observe was after cultured for 1-1.5 hour.The pollen viability of different knot had no significant difference.Length of life of pollen at different condition had significant difference.The pollen with petal's life was 26 hour under 25℃;The excise pollen was 6 hour.Under low temperature,the pollen viability of different line had significant difference.We can use this to distinguish the cold resistance of different line.
