Abstract

The pollen germination percentage and the pollen tube length of five cultivars of prunes were measured to determine the pollen viability, and the effects on pollen viability by different culturing temperatures, and different concentrations of B and 2,4-D,GA 3 were studied. The results show that:①There are obvious differences on pollen viability among five cultivars;②Temperature influences the pollen viability significantly. The lower temperature (8 ℃) restrains the pollen viability and 24 ℃ is suitable for pollen viability;③B is important to pollen germination.B 10 mg/L increases the pollen germination percentage obviously;④2,4-D 2.5~5.0 mg/L improve the pollen viability.GA 3 50 mg/L increases the pollen tube length, but it has no effect on pollen germination.
