Abstract

On the basis of the thermal flow intensity temperature distribution in the hearth and slag and liquid iron temperature,a prediction method has been developed to estimate the hearth erosion through simulating the temperature distribution of the hearth with self-baking carbon brick and ceramic brickwork as a lining by means of Kriging's method. Some key parameters for optimum operation of the blast furnaces and for hearth erosion prediction can be given by this method.
