Metallogenic geological characteristics and proposal for prospecting method of gold-lead-zinc ore concentration area in Xunbei region,Shaanxi province

Xunyang gold-lead-zinc ore concentration area is located in northern Xunyang county of Shaanxi province and in the east section of Indosinian fold zone in southern Qinling.Three gold-lead-zinc metallogenic belts and 26 lead-zinc deposits(occurrences) and one gold deposit have been found in the area.They are hosted in silurian series and devonian series,and the mineralization is concerned with hydrothermal deposition and tectonic-restructuring effect.The lead-zinc ore bodies are in bedding distribution in a layer or layer-like form,the gold ore bodies are produced from rupture structural belt in a vein,a lens or a bean form.This paper sets up the comprehensive metallogenic models of lead-zinc deposit and gold deposit on the basis of the summation of ore-forming geological conditions,indicates that this ore concentration area is expected to be a large lead-zinc resource base and offers a proposal of further ore-prospecting work.
