Abstract
The Yangshan gold deposit is located in the Songpan- Motianling gold mineralization belt in the Shaanxi- Gansu-Sichuan triangle area,it is a hydrothermal rock type gold deposit. The ore- forming material sources are complicated including the ore- bearing host strata of Sanhekou Group,Mesozoic granite porphyry and Bikou terrain in the southern deposit area. In general, the ore- forming fluid in the wholeYanshan gold belt is dominated by the magmatic fluid, and finally the meteoric water which added in the late ore- forming stage. The multiple magmatic activities provide the heat source for the formation of gold deposit. Due to the abundant sources of ore- forming materials, heat and fluids, the metallogenic geological conditions are favorable, therefore, there is great potential for prospecting in the deposit area. The metallogenic is consistent with the Three- sources metallogenic model of the gold deposit. The next stage exploration should enhance the study of the metallogenic regularities of the gold mineralization in order to find new orebodies, and enlarge the prospecting scope by the test drilling programme.
