Toxicity Test on Guixianzhuangyang Oral Liquid

Abstract

Objective:To investigate the acute toxicity reaction and long term toxicity reaction of rats when given Guixianzhuangyang Oral Liquid.Methods:In acute toxicity test, mice and rats were administrated respectively with Guixianzhuangyang Oral Liquid in one dose for one week. Mice were given at doses of 25 ml/kg and rats were treated with at doses of 20 ml/kg. Then general conditions of animals were observed. In long term toxicity test, low, middle, high dosage groups and control group were treated with Guixianzhuangyang Oral Liquid for three months. Then growing development of rats, blood routine examination, blood biochemical criterion were observed.Results:The results of acute toxicity test showed the animals had no abnormal reaction and none was dead. In long term toxicity test, the results showed that the diet, growing development, blood routine examination, blood biochemical criterion and major organ index of rats were normal. Major organs were not found abnormity in pathological test. Comparing with control group, the difference was not distinct.Conclusion:Guixianzhuangyang Oral Liquid was not toxical to rats.
