Influence of preoperative enteral nutrition on postoperative rehabilitation in patients with gastric cardia cancer

Objective To study the influence of preoperative enteral nutrition on postoperative rehabilitation in patients with gastric cardia cancer.Methods The clinical datas of 62 cases of gastric cardia cancer patient in affiliated hospital of jinggangshan university from January 2008 to December 2010 were retrospectively.All the patients were randomly divided into two groups,Each group included 32 patients.In the control group,patients received only early postoperative enteral nutrition.In the treatment group,patients were given enteral nutrition support before operation,postoperative treatment was the same as the control group.The body weight hemoglobin and serum albumin were measured on the day before operation and the seventh day after operation,and to observe the wound healing.Results The immune function of patients in the two groups were reduced.Two patients had wound infected and liquefacted.There were no infection or liquefaction in the treatment group.Weight loss rate of the treatment group were significantly less than the control group.Serum albumin and hemoglobin levels were significantly higher than that in control group.Conclusion Preoperative enteral nutrition can significantly improve the nutritional status of the gastric cardia cancer patients after operation,conductive to postoperative recovery.
