Abstract
Objective To investigate the comparison of preoperative and postoperative enteral nutrition on efficacy of rehabilitation in postoperative patients with gastric carcinoma. Methods The clinical data of 68 patients with gastric carcinoma admitted our department of general surgery were analyzed. All the patients were randomly allocated into three groups.in the control group(Group A),included 22 patients, patients received only intravenous nutrition postoperatively.in the treatment group of postoperative(Group B),patients received only early enteral nutrition postoperatively,In the treatment group of preoperative(Group C).Patients received not only preoperative early enteral nutrition but also nutrison by mouth preoperatively for enteral nutrition support.Times of flatus and defecation were observed. The body weight, serum albumin, serum prealbumin and count of lymphocyte were measured on the fourth day before operation, the first day and the eighth day after operation. Results Times of flatus and defecation of Group B and Group C patients were shorter in group A(P0.05),Group C showed significant decrease in the body weight, serum albumin, serum prealbumin and count of lymphocyte compared with those in others(P0.05).Conclusion Preoperative and postoperative enteral nutrition can significantly promote the rehabilitation of postoperative patients with gastric carcinoma.
