Abstract
Professor Lin Huadong's new book A Study of Quanzhou Dialect is an original and impressive book on dialect.With a large number of substantial materials,the book proves successfully the author's points of view,which are creative and fresh.Formation time of Quanzhou dialect,the word order of headword+adjunct words and modal particles are specifically and originally illustrated in the book.Besides that,there are many insightful discourses on the relationship of Quanzhou dialect and culture of south of fujian,on the methods and principles of dialect research.
