The Comparison on Literary Readings between Quanzhou Dialect and Chaozhou Dialect

The literary and colloquial readings of Minnan dialect are quite characteristic.Starts with the differences in literary readings between Quanzhou dialect and Chaozhou dialect,and bases on dialect contact situation,this article studies the characteristic of Minnan dialect in Eastern Guangdong Province,and discusses the reasons that cause its decadency.Through the analysis on phonology,we can conclude the time when literary readings of Minnan dialect in Eastern Guangdong Province came into form.
