Intertextuality and Translator's Identity

The theory of intertextuality,a most heated topic in the field of literature study in recent years,helps to break the traditional idea on meaning and sees translation as an exchange of different texts which completely subverts the original author's authority in traditional translation theories.It makes higher demand for the translator's subjectivity and endows translators with three identities i.e.reader,interpreter and author.This paper expounds the way translators utilize their positions from different levels to realize the exchange of texts in the process of translation.
