EFFICACY ANALYSIS OF TWO DIFFERENT FIXATION IN TREATMENT OF PATELLAR FRACTURE

[Objective]To analyze the modified tension band wire and nickel-titanium shape memory alloy patella in treatment of patellar fracture.[Methods]We collected 93 cases of patellar fractures in our hospital from July 2005-June 2010.According to the wishes of patients,we divided them into two groups,including separate memory alloy patella(50 cases)and the modified tension band wire fixation surgery(43 patients).We observed the efficacy of treating patella fractures.[Results]43 patients were treated with modified tension band wire,and 24 cases showed excellent,10 cases showed good,6 cases showed improved,and 3 cases showed poor.The good and excellent rate was 79.07%;In the nickel-titanium shape memory alloy patella group,36 cases were excellent,9 cases were good,4 cases were improved and 1 case was poor.The excellent and good rate was 90.00%,there was significant difference in two groups(P﹤0.05),and there was little complications in the nickel-titanium shape memory alloy patella fixed group.[Conclusion]The nitinol patella fixation is the effective method in treatment of patellar fracture.
