Comparison of the Clinical Effect of Two Different Internal Fixation on the Treatment of Patella Fracture

Abstract

[Objective] To compare the clinical effect of two kinds of internal fixation methods on the treatment of patella fracture.[Methods] 82 cases of patella fracture after surgery were retrospectively analyzed.Group A(38 cases)were managed by Ni-Ti patella concentrator fixation.Group B(44 cases)were managed by AO modified tension band fixation.[Results] Two groups had well fixation.The excellent and good rates of the function of knee joints in group A and B were 97.37% and 90.91% respectively.The excellent and good rate of ROM in group A and B were 89.47% and 81.82% respectively.There was no significant difference between two groups.[Conclusion] Both different methods have the same efficiency for treatment of patella fracture,and the function of knee joints have been recovered rapidly,and there are less complications after surgery.
