Investigation & Analysis on Damage of Urban Road Asphalt Pavement

Combined with a careful investigation of urban road asphalt pavement (close to East China Sea, Pudong Shanghai), the different damage types of asphalt pavement were put forward in the paper. There were main damage types such as transverse cracks, rut and pavement pression, which covered to 80.9% of the total damaged areas. Then, the author made an analysis of damage reasons and applied some related important problems in the future design and construction of urban roads. And the author emphasized that the asphalt compaction criterion should be strengthened, the river backfill quality should be guaranteed during the construction.
