Abstract
Objective To explore the variations and their clinical significance of high sensitive C reaction protein(hsC-RP) and brachial ankle pulse wave velocity(baPWV) in diabetes mellitus patients with hypertension.Methods The 203 subjects who visited doctor in our hospital from Mar.2010 to Mar.2012 were recruited in our study.The levels of hsC-RP and baPWV were compared among the control group(NC,n=78),diabetes mellitus group(T2DM,n=56),and diabetes mellitus with hypertension group(T2DM+EH,n=69).Results The levels of hsC-RP in the NC,DM,and DM+EH groups were(1.4±1.0)mg/L,(3.3±1.1)mg/L,and(3.5±0.8)mg/L respectively,and the difference was significant(P0.05).The levels of baPWV in the three groups were 1617.4 cm/s,2010.9 cm/s,and 2196.1 cm/s respectively,and the difference was also significant(P0.05).The levels of hsC-RP and baPWV in each of the three groups had association with each other.Conclusion The levels of hsC-RP and baPWV increase simultaneously in diabetes mellitus patients with hypertension,and there is an association between hsC-RP and baPWV.
