Abstract

Objective To explore the clinical value of craniotomy with small bone window in the treatment of hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage. Methods Retrospectively analysed the data of 67 hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage patients received craniotomy with small bone window from Jun,2005 to May,2008.Results Hematoma clearance rate were up to 85% in 52 cases and between 70% and 85% in 15 cases.4 patients died after the operation(5.97%).The 63 survived patients were followed up from 6 months to 3 years.Evaluated by Activities of Daily Living(ADL),14 patients belonged to Grade 1,31 patients Grade 2,10 patients Grade 3,5 patients Grade 4 and 3 patients Grade 5.55 cases whose ADL were in Grade 1~3(82.1%).Conclusion Craniotomy with small bone window is an effective and safe therapeutics for hypertensive cerebral hemorrhage.
