An Interpretation on the Thought of Filial Piety in The Analects of Confucius

Abstract

The thought of filial piety in The Analects of Confucius contains rich content.This article discusses the thought of filial piety from the following four aspects: filial piety doesn't violate rites;filial piety refers to the reduction of parents' worries;respectfulness is real filial piety;and we should remonstrate with our parents gently if they are wrong.Finally,the profound significance of the filial piety to construct harmony family,country and world is summarized.
