Abstract

Objective To explore sub-health and Th1/Th2 floating and the intervention effects of physical exercise. Methods Forty male SD rats were randomly divided into 4 groups: control group, model group, exercise model group and exercise group. The rat model of sub-health was made by sleep deprivation plus overload exhaustive swimming.Exercise mode was 8-week spontaneous wheel running. The spleen index and its lymphocyte number were measured, and ELISA was employed to measure levels of interferon-γ(IFN-γ) and interleukine-4(IL-4),and the ratio of IFN-γ/IL-4 in serum. Results Compared with control group, the spleen index, lymphocyte number, the level of IFN-γ and the ratio of IFN-γ/IL-4 were significantly decreased in model group(P0.01).Compared with model group, exercise model group got higher levels of spleen index, lymphocyte number,IFN-γ and the ratio of IFN-γ/IL-4(P0.05).The spleen index and lymphocyte number showed a rising tendency in exercise group. Conclusion As an effective protection measure, physical exercise can maintain immunity homeostasis and lower immunity injury caused by sub-health.
