Abstract
The seedlings of Agrogyron cristatum were stressed with NaCl and Na2SO4(0,60,120,180,240,300mmol/L) in greenhouse.Six indices including biomass,root-shoot ratio, malondialdehyde(MDA) content, chlorophyll content, proline content and POD activity were determined. As the salt concentration increased, the content of MDA took an increasing trend;the biomass,root-shoot ratio, chlorophyll content and POD activity increased at first and then decreased later.Biomass,root-shoot ratio, chlorophyll content, proline content and POD activity in Agrogyron cristatum seedlings reduced significantly, malondialdehyde(MDA) content increased to the maximum under salt concentration of 300mmol/L.The results showed that low concentration under 120mmol/L of salt stress had some role in promoting growth of Agropyron cristatum, the effect of NaCl stress was greater than Na2SO4 stress.
