Abstract
Objective To investigate the effect of compound herbs in nonalcoholic fatty liver disease. Methods Fatty liver animal model was duplicated with high fat diet, and divided into model group, herbs high dose group, herbs low dose group, gemfibrozil group and normal control group randomly. Each treatment group was intervened by its own medicine. Then the contents of total cholesterol(TC),triglycerides (TG),free fatty acid(FFA) in serum, the contents of TC,TG,FFA and the expression of acyl-CoA oxidase(AOX) in hepatic tissue were detected, evaluating the levels of steatosis and steatohepatitis in liver. Results Compared with the model group(7.33±0.42,1.49±0.06,888.23±56.15,244.75± 30.27,108.78±6.95,166.54±6.54),the content of serum lipid and liver lipid in herbs high dose group(2.46±0.10,0.63±0.06,279.01±13.43,89.82±2.78,53.22±2.39,97.30±9.91) were reduced remarkably(q=45.18,38.39,51.73,29.63,29.46,P0.05).The severity degrees of steatosis and steatohepatitis were significantly lower in herbs high dose group and gemfibrozil group than those in model group(P0.05).The expression of AOX was higher in herbs high dose group and gemfibrozil group than in model group(q=8.46,4.04,P0.05). Conclusion The compound herbs is effective in treating nonalcoholic fatty liver disease.
