Abstract
Interstitial cells of Cajal (ICC) is the pacemaker cells of the gastrointestinal tract, which play an important role in enteric neurotransmission. Recent study implied that there exist intimate contacts among the gastrointestinal nerve-ICC-smooth muscle network. The investigated progress of the gastrointestinal nerve-ICC-smooth muscle network in recent years is reviewed in this paper.
A significance statement is not available in the OpenAlex record.
