Abstract
A pot experiment was adopted to study the effect of acidic stress on the growth, yield and quality of tomato. The results showed that the acid stress result in the delay of tomato growth period. The height, stalkleaf-root dry weight and roots length were higher than CK when the degree of acid stress was accepted. The growth of tomato was strongly restrained as pH 3. 5. While the degree of acid stress increased, the yield and Vc content of tomato were decreased, but the soluble sugar content increased. The total acid content of tomato was irrelation with the degree of acid stress.
