Abstract
Objective: To investigate the expression level of P53 in breast cancer tissue and its correlation with clinicopathologic factors. Methods: The expressions of P53 in 266 cases of breast cancer tissues were assessed by immunohistochemistry and its correlation with clinicopathologic factors was statistically analyzed. Results: The positive expression rate of P53 was 64.66 %. The expression of P53 was correlated with the tumor size,clinical stage (P0.01), and its expression levels were positively correlated with C-erbB-2 (P0.01)and negatively with PR respectively (P0.05), but the expression of P53 was not correlated with age, lymph node status and expression of ER (P0.05). Conclusions: The expression of P53 is related with the occurrence and progression of breast cancer and it is a bad prognosis factor.
