Tanreqing Injection for Acute Bronchitis:Observation of Curative Effect

Abstract

OBJECTIVE:To observe the curative effect of Tanreqing Injection for acute bronchitis to for references of clinical drug use.METHODS: This is a randomized controlled trial,in which 72 patients with acute bronchitis were randomly assigned to receive routine antibacterial and antiviral drugs(control group,n=37) or routine antibacterial and antiviral drugs plus Tanreqing injection(treatment group,n=35) all for 5 days.The major outcome measures were symptoms,clinical effect and safety.RESULTS: There were significant differences between treatment group and control group in rate of showing efficacy(82.9% vs 48.6%,P0.05),with treatment group showing better efficacy than in control group.CONCLUSION: Tanreqing injection as an adjuvant therapy can greatly enhance the curative effect for acute bronchitis.
