A Study on the Scale and Spatial Structure of Tourism Center in Yangtze River Delta Based on Fractal Theory

With the rapid development of regional tourism industry,the tourism central area plays a more and more important role in organizing tourism activities and forming regional tourism spatial structure.This article based on fractal theory,combines spatial pattern evolutionary process of reginal tourism,develops a data model of regional tourism center's scale and spatial structure,and conducts a practical study on tourism center in Yangtze River Delta.The result proves it is feasible using fractal theory to research on tourism center,and there are typical fractal characters of the scale and structure in Yangtze River Delta tourism center.From the scale structural perspective,Shanghai becomes the primary tourism center of Yangtze River Delta,included into the four categories of classified scale system.From spatial structural perspective,there is a uniform distribution among each tourism centers in Yangtze River Delta.Finally,according to these results,the direction and approaches to optimize the tourist center of the Yangtze River Delta to the scale and spatial structure were proposed.
