Abstract
Social mobility is associated with the certain development stages of society.The present social mobility in China shows some outstanding features of transitional period of society.That is: social mobility has two or more forms;there exists the trend of moving upward and the phenomenon of lag of social mobility;and the economic geography principle is still a main and latent factor of social mobility.
