Abstract
For construction of the auxiliary tunnel of Jinping Hydropower Station,five water surges with high pressure and large flow are described,and then their occurrence laws are introduced as well.Furthermore,the portent of possible surge from ground water and the experience of its control during the tunneling concerned are put forward herein.
