Abstract
To investigate the different expression of β-defensin in normal and inflamed mammary epithelial cells of Holstein cows,BNBD5 mRNA expression changes were detected by establishing expression model in mammary epithelial cells of experimental mastitis and using real-time quantitative RT-PCR.The results showed that the expression of IL-6,IL-12 and TNF-α mRNA of inflammatory factor in mammary epithelial cells was notablely raise(P0.01) compared with the contrast group and the expression of α-casein was markedly degrade(P0.01),which illustrated that addition of LPS induced certain inflammatory factors generated from epithelial cells, moreover, and the expression was at high level when mammary epithelial cells were treated by 300 μg/L LPS for 48 hours, and there was significant difference(P0.01) compared with the contrast group. The results confirmed that BNBD5 may participate in the defense mechanism of mastitis by adding LPS.
