Objective: To discuss the clinical value of Atropine test on the suspected Sick Sinus Syndrome(SSS) cases.Method: Have Atropine tests on 76 suspected SSS sufferers who have Sinus bradycardia.And then have transesophageal atrial pacing(TAP) on the positive ones.Result:Among the 76 cases,there are 66 ones whose fastest heart rates are less than 90 times/min.That is 86.8 percent of them are positive.And according to the TAP,it is indicated that there are totally 60 SSS sufferers in those 66 cases.The percentage of conformity is 91%.Conclusion: It is better to choose the suspected SSS sufferers that have Sinus bradycardia for doing Atropine test so that to raise the percentage of diagnoses.It is a simple and practical method for application.
