Abstract
Objective: To investigate effect of pacing mode on clinical outcome of patients with sick sinus syndrome (SSS). Methods: This study included 130 SSS patients received permanent transvenous cardiac pacing. The pacing modes and clinical outcome of patients were analysed. Results: Among 130 patients with SSS, physiglogical pacing accounted for 27. 6% , in which AAI occupied 11. 2% , DDD was 16. 4%. VVI constituted 72. 4% in all patients. The symptom of SSS patients improved insignificantly after pacemaker therapy. Moreover the physiological pacing was superior to VVI in permanent atrial fibrillation,heart dysfunction and death rate. Conclusion: The physiological pacing is better than VVI, but its application is still fewer.
