Overall Optimization and Development of the Structure of Postgraduate Education

Whether postgraduate education meets the social and economic needs for highly qualified people is an important strategic issue in the development of postgraduate education.An analysis is made on the present flaws in the disciplinary structure and scale,category structure and regional structure of postgraduate education in China.It is recommended that the structure of postgraduate education be adjusted on the basis of the needs of current socioeconomic development through an optimized education system,improved relationships among the government,the schools and the community,and expanded decision-making power of universities.
