Analysis on Scale Problems of Chinese Postgraduate Education

The paper analyzes the development scale of postgraduate education in our country from the perspective of degree levels,categories,degree forms and types and regional distribution. There are following problems in current development scale of our postgraduate education:the development of doctoral education can not coordinate with that of master education; disciplinary development can not well re? ect the need of market and society; the scale of part-time and professional postgraduate education is relatively small; there lacks of consistency between regional economy and local postgraduate education. Thus,in order to scientifi cally promote the development of postgraduate education,it is necessary to take some measures such as clarifying the difference between doctoral education and master education,developing different disciplines with different scale,speeding up the development of part-time and professional postgraduate education,coordinating the development of regional economy with local postgraduate education,etc.
