Abstract
Ethylp-Hydroxybenzoate was synthesized from p-hydroxy benzoic acid and ethanol catalyzed by the new solid ultra strong acid SO42-/Sb2O3 /Ce4+ made by myself. The best synthesis condition of ethylp-hydroxy benzoate was investigated. The experiment results showed that the optimum reaction conditions were as follows: when the molar ratio of p-hydroxy benzoic acid to ethanol was 1.0:4.0, the dosage of SO42-/Sb2O3/Ce4+ was 0.6g and reactive time was 4 hours. The esterification yield reached to 93%. The product was characterized by IR.
