Abstract

Photobiological hydrogen production is to convert solar energy into hydrogen energy utilizing photobiological hydrogen-producing organisms,which is regarded as an important developmental direction in the biohydrogen field.Photobiological hydrogen-producing organisms mainly include cyanobacteria,green algae and photosynthetic bacteria which perform their unique mechanisms of photobiological hydrogen-production through different paths containing two enzymes (hydrogenase or nitrogenase) that responsible for photobiological hydrogen-production.Three types of reactors including tubalar photoreactor,flat photo reactor and column photoreactor,were applied in the phetobiological hydrogen prlductin.To increase the efficiency of photoconversion and reduce the cost of biohydrogen are the critical work for the photobiological hydrogen production in the future.
