Abstract
Whereas the Book of Songs makes use of metaphors and analogies regarding love poems, different understandings have historically been obtained. So the writer of this paper argues for an approach to the more proper semantic understanding,i.e.,the pursuit of the knowledge of cultural background, which covers the poets' motives, marital customs in relation to regional and temporal distributions. All this helps rid of the partial reinterpretations of the love poems in the Book of Songs.
