Efficacy Observation of Yaotongning Capsule in the Treatment of Lumbar Disc Herniation

Abstract

OBJECTIVE:To observe clinical efficacy of Yaotongning capsule in the treatment of lumbar disc herniation.METHODS:180 patients with lumbar disc herniation were randomly divided into trial group and control group.Both groups received basic treatment(including going to bed,comprehensive physiotherapy treatment and drug therapy).Trial group was additionally given Yaotongning capsules 3～4 pills,qd.VAS was adopted to evaluate the degree of pain and clinical efficacy between 2 groups.Adverse drug reactions were observed in the process of treatment.RESULTS:After treatment,VAS score in trial group was decreased significantly,compared with control group(P0.05).The total effective rate was 93.3%in the trial group and 76.7% in the control group.There was significant difference between 2 groups(P0.05).There were no significant ADRs found.CONCLUSION:Yaotongning capsule comprehensive physiotherapy treatment is effective and safe for lumbar disc herniation.
