Fetal Umbilical Artery Blood Flow Examination and Fetal Well Being in Patients with Intrahepatic Cholestasis of Pregnancy

Abstract

Objectives:To study the resistant parameters of fetal umbilical artery blood flow in patients with intrahepatic cholestasis of pregnancy(ICP).Methods:43 patients with ICP and 58 heathy women in their late pregnancy were studied.The blood flow resistance of fetal umbilical artery was determined. Results:Fetal umbilical artery blood flow resistance and incidence of poor perinatal outcomes were increased in patients with ICP.Conclusions:Patients with ICP should receive determination of fetal umbilical artery blood flow resistance routinely in order to deal with in time to improve fetal well being.
