Abstract

With 9-year-old Castanopsis fissa 51 families as the research object, the results of the growth traits analysis showed that tree height,DBH,volume in the families were extremely significant in variation. The influence of interaction among places, families, places* families on tree height,DBH,volume was extremely significant, among which place was the most. The family heritabilities of tree height,DBH,volume were 0. 820 4,0. 887 9,0. 817 5 respectively. Growth indexes of tree height,DBH and volume in families and natural profile factors in tested points were not significantly correlated, which indicated that Castanopsis fissa families had strong geographical regional adaptability. Taking genetic gain more than 20% in families and growth amount of DBH and tree height not less than the average value of families as the standard, eight superior families were chosen, which were CW08, CW05, PY08,YF02,RS06,RS03,RS09 and TD09. DBH,tree height, volume of selected families increased from5. 69% to 13. 82%,from 7. 62% to 14. 29%,and from 17. 78% to 39. 85% respectively than the overall average value. Genetic gains of DBH,tree height and volume increased from 6. 39% to 11. 45%,from 6. 55% to 12. 26%,and from 20. 23% to 32. 55% respectively.
