Abstract
Objective To investigate the influence of the comprehensive nursing care on the postoperative pain in patients undergoing thoracic surgery. Methods Eighty cases in our hospital for thoracic therapy from January 2008 to December 2009 were randomly divided into the control group and observation group(40 cases in each group). The patients in the control group were treated with conventional method(analgesics);while the patients in the observation group,on the basis on conventional method, also received additional nursing intervention such as cognitive, emotional and behavioral care. The degree of pain in both two groups was evaluated by Prince-Henry method which divided into five degrees 3 days after operation. Results The degree of pain in observation group was lower than that in control group significantly(P0.05).Conclusion The comprehensive nursing care including position nursing, psychological nursing, relaxing therapy, musical therapy, regulation of environment,self-regulation and so on for the postoperative patients with thorax operation can reduce their pain obviously.Nurse can improve their nursing technique and quality through improving their self-skill,mastering knowledge and technique about how to control pain.
