Surveillance and analysis on outbreak of influenza-like illness in Longgang District of Shenzhen City from 2012-2013

[Objective]To understand the features of influenza-like illness(ILI) outbreak in Longgang District of Shenzhen City,provide scientific basis for prevention and control of influenza. [Methods]The data of ILI outbreak and influenza surveillance of hospitals in Longgang District from 2012-2013 were analyzed retrospectively.[Results]A total of 49 ILI outbreaks were reported in Longgang District from 2012-2013,which mainly occurred in March,April and December. 53.06% of ILI outbreaks occurred in Longcheng Street,and the vast majority of outbreaks occurred in schools and nurseries,accounting for 97.96%. The main viruses caused ILI outbreaks were in sequence of influenza A,influenza B and influenza A H1N1. In the ILI surveillance hospitals of Longgang District,the conventional pathogen detection showed that the main viruses in sequence of influenza A,influenza B and influenza A H1N1. [Conclusion]In Longgang District,ILI outbreaks mainly occur in winter and spring,and it is necessary to strengthen the influenza surveillance,prevention and control in schools and nurseries.
