Abstract
Objective To survey the epidemic situation of influenza and the predominant strain and offer the surveillance data to national influenza network laboratory. Methods Reporting the numbers of consultation and the influenza-like illness(ILI) in two selected hospitals,surveying the outbreaks of ILI or influenza,taking specimen to culture and detecting the antigens. Result The two hospitals reported ILI 2,640 cases.The ILI rate was 10 cases per 1,000 consultations.The number of ILI among children under 15 years old accounted for 76.3%.There were three outbreaks of influenza and two of which 4 positive for A(H3N2) subtype were discovered. Conclusion ILI cases are reported from January to December but the peak is from March to August.The predominant strain is influenza A(H3N2).
