Abstract

Molybdenum content and related items in 76 representative tobacco-planting soil samples and 150 tobacco leaf samples from Jiangxi province were analyzed. The results showed that the average available Mo content in tobacco-planting soils in Jiangxi province was 0.088 mg/kg,average Mo content in tobacco leaves was 0.689 mg/kg,and both were at rather low level.Correlation analysis indicated that there was no significant correlation between soil pH-value and available Mo content in soil,as well as between available Mo content in soil and Mo content in tobacco leaf. When Mo content in tobacco leaf(C3F) was in the range of 0.11~1.91 mg/kg,there was significantly positive correlation between nicotine content in tobacco leaf and Mo content in tobacco leaf.
