Abstract
Objective To study the application value of the detection of brain natriuretic peptide (BNP), Cardiac Troponin I (cTnI) and myocardial enzyme in patients with heart failure. Methods Fifty-eight patients with heart failure in our hospital from August 2010 to April 2012 were selected as observation group, and 58 healthy individuals undergoing physical examination at the same time were selected as control group. Then the serum BNP, cTnI and myocardial enzyme were detected and compared between the two groups. Results The levels of serum BNP, cTnI and myocardial enzyme were all significantly higher in the observation group than the control group, in patients with higher NYHA grade than patients with lower NYHA grade, as well as in patients with mixed heart failure and systolic heart failure than patients with diastolic heart failure, all with P0.05. Conclusion Detection of serum BNP, cTnI and myocardial enzyme has great application value for the patients with heart failure, which can effectively reflect the specific situation of heart failure.
