Reform and Innovation of Relationship Between Urban and Rural Areas in China Since the Reform and Opening up

Based on a retrospect of the course of the reform of urban-rural relationship system since the reform and opening up,the author points out that the reform of urban-rural dualistic system has promoted the urban-rural coordinative development after the Third Plenary Session of the 11th Central Committee,and summarizes the preliminary results of urban and rural economic development achieved in the last 10 years. Aiming at the arduous tasks in further developing urban and rural economy,the author analyzes the defects of the system reform and the imbalance between urban and rural development,and suggests that,to coordinate urban and rural development,we must adhere to the strategy of balancing urban and rural development,accelerate institutional innovation,and form the mechanism of urban and rural integration as soon as possible.
