Coordinated Development of the Urban and Rural: A New Stage of Development of Relations between the Urban and Rural after Chinese 30 Years of Reform

The 16th CPC National Congress established the goal of constructing a well-off society; it also put forward the urban and rural economic integration development and prosperity of the rural economy, which is the new direction of the relationship between the urban and rural areas after Chinese 30 years of reform. Learning from the history, one can know the gains and losses, so in this paper we put forward that we should study the integration development of urban and rural in a comparison and historical perspective. We analyzed the historical reasons of formation of Chinese urban-rural dual structure and the core issues of urban and rural integration development, in order to provide policy support for the integration of urban and rural areas.
