Abstract

The butterfly resource in Haikou area was investigated in this article. 280 butterfly samples were collected .After management and study indoor, it was found that they belonged to 7 families, 36 genera and 59 species. Meantime, an analysis was made on these butterflies' distribution district, predominant species, high valuable appreciation species, exclusive species of Hainan and their distribution speciality. In addition, some advice were given abaut how to protect, develop and use the butterfly resources of the area.
