Analysis on Ethological Characters of MSM in Liuzhou

Objective To understand ethological characters of men who have sex with men(MSM) in the local placeand to provide evidences for health promotion on AIDS and STD among MSM.Method With the approaches of internet propagandaon and introduced by their friends,the MSM were attracted to come to CDC.A questionnaire on MSM was conducted with a anonymous model to collect related information and do HLA typing.Results 300 questionnaires showed that the rate of knowing HIV was 79.6%,the rate of having anal sex in the latest 6 months was 87.7%,the rate of having sex was 18.33% by paying,the rate of using condoms in every sex was 50.1% and the rate of supplying the sex for money was 2.7%.Under the circumstances,the rate of using condoms was 32.0%.In last year,only 93 MSM took the initiative to detect HIV antibodies before,HIV-positive detection rate of 1.3% and rate of having syphilis was 8.0%.Conclusions High dangerous behaviors are universal a-mong MSM in Liuzhou.We should reinforce the detection of MSM,.health education,behavioral intervention and follow-up for the infestor.
