Effect of Jiajianwangbishuan on interleukin-1β and tumor necrosis factor-α in collagen induced arthritis Wistar rats

Objective:To observe the effections of Jiajianwangbishuan on the collagen induced arthritis(CIA) rats including the level of interleukin-1β(IL-1β)and tumor necrosis factor α(TNF-α)in serum.Methods:Wistar male rats were randomly divided into normal group,model group,Jiajianwangbishuan group and methotrexate(MTX)group.After 49 days of continuous administration of drug group,we observed the situation and body weight of rats,measured the serum IL-1β,TNF-α levels.Results:Jiajianwangbishuan group was improved in the general situation than the model group,weight gained.Serum inflammatory factors was elevated in model group,treatment group and control group have no difference in inflammatory cytokines.Conclusion:Jiajianwangbishuan and methotrexate can reduce the serum levels of inflammatory factors,reduce symptoms in rats.Jiajianwangbishuan can affect levels of inflammatory factors and improve the signs and symptoms.
