Abstract

Objective:To investigate the characteristics of the breast cancer at early stage and diagnostic methods. Methods:Excisional Biopsy was conducted as a golden standard to detect early breast cancer in 51 patients after they received all the three examinations.Mammography, ultrasonography and large core biopsy,The sensitivities of the detecting means were then compared. Results:The sensitivities of normal intensifying screen-film mammography to detect early breast cancer is about 37.3%,Ultrasonography can hardly determine the nature of lumps, which is less than 0.5 cm in diameters; The sensitivity of LCB is about 74.8%.Conclusion:Examinations should be used in combination to detect early breast cancer.Excisional biopsy is the most reliable means for diagnosis and should be administered once the nature of lumps in breast can not be determined.
